Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the run?
Most tours last about 60 minutes and cover 5–7 km. We take breaks for stories, photos, and to enjoy the views.
What’s the pace like?
Always relaxed. The pace is adjusted to the group so everyone feels comfortable. It’s about running together, not racing.
Do I need to be an experienced runner?
Not at all. If you can jog for an hour with short breaks, you’ll be fine. The focus is on stories and presence, not performance.
What should I bring?
Running shoes, clothes for the weather, and curiosity. The Arctic Capital can throw all kinds of conditions at us.
Where do we meet?
We meet at
Amundsen Square (Amundsplass), right below Tromsø Cathedral (Domkirka). Easy to find in the city center.
What if the weather is bad?
In Tromsø, there’s no bad weather – only different stories. We run unless safety is an issue, and then we’ll reschedule.
Is it private or group tours?
Small groups, max 6 people, to keep it personal. Private tours available on request.
What makes this different from other tours?
It’s the only guided running tour in Tromsø. You get local history, myths, and hidden gems – while moving through the Arctic Capital on your own feet.
What does “Cold feet. Warm heart.” mean?
It’s our motto. In the Arctic you might get cold toes, but running, stories and shared moments will always warm your heart.
